Introductory Address by Dr. Nagaraj Paturi, Director of the Inter Gurukula University Center, as part of the Inaugural Ceremony of the Conference on Oneness, jointly organized by Indic Academy’s Inter Gurukula University Center, and Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, in Chinmaya Eswar Gurukula, Adi Shankara Nilayam, Veliyanad, Kochi between 15th and 17th October, 2019.
He expresses how the conference is unique blend of Sages, Scholars, and Seekers, along with folk artists and mystics, coming together to discuss facets and impacts of Advaita Vedanta, and their applicability for the oneness of the world. He also talks about the contribution of Adi Shankaracharya in the unification of India with the Dharmapeethas across country, and by envisioning the idea of Prasthana-trayi.
He also goes on to reveal key contents of the conference, topics such as Advaita followers practicing rituals, unification of Purva and Uttara Mimamsa, deep impact of Advaita thoughts on all fields of traditional knowledge systems, and the likes. He applauds Indic Academy for reviving the tradition of Vakyartha Sadas and bringing it into mainstream. He also mentions the future activity of a Global Oneness Conference, that shall bring together all nations and aim at improving global relations.
