Annual Summary of Indic Chats 2015-16

Indic Academy interviewed the following authors and scholars in the year 2015-16 and discussed their books in webinar series called Indic Chat.

Abhinav Agarwal interviewed former journalist and author Hindol Sengupta about his latest book “Being Hindu: Old Faith, New World and You”. 

Hindol Sengupta graduated with a degree in South Asian history and politics from the Worcester College, Oxford, as a Chevening Scholar, in business and finance as a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia University, and in journalism and filmmaking at Jamia Millia Islamia and Delhi University. “Being Hindu: Old Faith, New World and You” is Hindol Sengupta’s sixth book.

 

Indic Academy interviewed Dr Koenraad Elst on his latest book “Decolonizing The Hindu Mind”, hosted by Abhinav Agarwal.

Dr Koenraad Elst is an eminent Indologist, researcher and author. He graduated in Philosophy, Chinese Studies and Indo-Iranian Studies at the Catholic University of Leuven. His research on the ideological development of Hindu revivalism earned him his Ph.D. in Leuven in 1998. He has authored several books on Indology and chats with Abhinav Agarwal on his latest offering “Decolonizing The Hindu Mind“.

 

Indic Chat speaks to author and scholar Dr David Frawley on his book “Gods, Sages and Kings“.

Vedacharya Dr David Frawley is a distinguished Indologist and author of over thirty books in twenty languages on Dharma, Yoga, Ayurveda and Vedic Sciences.  was conferred with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honour for his “distinguished service of a higher order to the nation,” his work and writings.

 

Indic Chats catches up with acclaimed scholar, computer scientist and author Prof Subhash Kak on his latest book “The Wishing Tree – Presence and Promise of India“.

Prof Subhash Kak is an Indian American computer scientist. He is Regents Professor and a previous Head of Computer Science Department at Oklahoma State University–Stillwater who has made contributions to cryptography, artificial neural networks, and quantum information. Prof Subhash Kak has authored several book on subjects ranging from his own autobiography, to a collection of poems, art, architecture, astronomy, physics, Vedic science, history, Sanatana Dharma, music, mind and matter to name a few.
