Indic Today is organizing an essay writing contest. The winner will get to attend a workshop on Yogadarsana from 21st June to 27th June in the idyllic settings of Ramgarh, Nainital District, Uttarakhand, where highlights on the Astanga-yoga methodology will be shared with participants with special focus on the topic of the extra-ordinary powers that can become accessibly through application of the Yogic methods as mentioned by Patanjali in the Yogasutra, and how those can help us in our daily lives. The seats for the workshop are almost filled, but Indic Today has been able to reserve exactly one seat for the winner of this contest. Workshop fees, lodging, boarding and traveling expenses (train tickets from Delhi) shall be provided.
This workshop is being conducted by Sri Vinay Jha who is a highly decorated scholar and a specialist of various branches of Sanskrit learning. He has authored over 50 books and over 150 articles, and worked to promote Sanskrit studies through multi-disciplinary approaches in order to make such studies relevant to contemporary world and knowledge domains. He has toured internationally as a visiting Professor and delivered lectures on different topics related to Indian knowledge system.

Participants are required to choose from one of the following topics and write a 1000 – 1500 word essay.

- Peace and power of a yogic mind
