Vinay Nair earlier worked with various MNCs in India and abroad before shifting his focus completely to Mathematics education in 2009. He is experienced in K-12 education and conducts extensive training and education programs across the country. Primarily, he focuses on building reasoning skills, creativity and inquiry through Mathematical thinking. He is a co-founder of an NGO, Raising a Mathematician Foundation, founder of Vichar Vatika, School of Vedic Maths, part of School of ThinQ, and an affiliate of Chinmaya International Foundation.
Vinay has given a TEDx ED talk on Goals of Mathematics Education. He has authored two insightful books - Journey to the Himalayas (a pictorial travelogue capturing an 18-day journey into the Himalayas) and The Teacher Who Taught Us to Think (on pedagogical approaches in Mathematics education). He is also the creator of the Vedic Mathematics Online Course offered by the Chinmaya International Foundation. He has also successfully presented countless white papers at various national, international and online conferences. Many of his works have even featured in Mathematical journals like At Right Angles and other magazines.
