In this paper we discuss formal aspects of certain rules of Panini’s grammar- Astadhyayi (A), which is traditionally studied together with the dhatupatha, which is a list of verbal roots arranged into sublists, and the ganapatha, which is a list of various classes of morphs, one class being the dhatupatha.
