Ponni Selvanathan hails from the Sthapathya lineage and is also a disciple of Padmabhushan Dr.V.Ganapathi Sthapati. She was initiated into Vasthu shilpa shastra by Dr.V.Ganapathi Sthapathi when she was 16 years old. Later she got married to Dr.Ganapathi Sthapati's brother son Sri Selvanathan who is a leading and renowned temple architect of this tradition. This couple is spreading the Science and Technology of Vasthushilpa shastra through various temple projects within and outside India.
