Dr S. Jagannath is a native of Madurai. He has a Master’s Degree in Tamil Literature. His M.Phil dissertation is on “Periyavachan Pillai’s Commentary text on Thirumalai” and he has done P.hD on “Periyavachan Pillai’s Commentary text on Thirunedundhandagam”. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur. Though he is an academician, he has also learned Sri Vaishnava religious tradition and theories from Professor Sri A. V. Arangarajan Swami of Madurai. His area of specialization is Kamba Ramayanam. He used to take continuing classes and is giving lectures on Kambaramaya all over TamilNadu.
